How you run
Which week of the month is yours?
Four questions, one minute, for people who run something. A lunar month has a start, a push, a showing, a finish, and a quiet day to plan. Most owners live in one or two of those weeks and skip the rest. This is a first guess at which.

The five ways of running
Every owner has a week they live in and a week they skip.
The lunar month has a shape the classical astrologers wrote down: the week after the new moon is for starting, the second week for pushing, the full moon for showing, the last week for finishing, and the dark of the moon for planning and rest. A business needs all five. An owner usually loves one or two and lets the others slide, and the slide is where the business stalls.
☾Starting
Your week: the week after the new moon · the one you skip: the last week, the finishing
You run on beginnings. The business has half-started things because the start is the part you love. Put a finish date on every start, and a review at every full moon.
☉Pushing
Your week: the second week, from first quarter to full · the one you skip: the dark of the moon, the rest
You run on momentum. Things keep going past their point because stopping feels like losing. Plan the rest before the push; the day before the new moon is the one the business needs you to take.
✦Showing
Your week: the full moon and the days after · the one you skip: the first week, the unglamorous start
You run on being seen. Launches come easily and the groundwork does not. Launch at the full moon, and give the week after the new moon to the work that makes the launch real.
♄Finishing
Your week: the last week, waning to dark · the one you skip: the first week, the new start
You run on closing loops. The board is clear and the pipeline is empty. Start one new thing a month on purpose, in the week after the new moon.
☿Planning
Your week: the dark of the moon · the one you skip: the second week, the push
You run on the plan. There are more plans than there is momentum. Give the plan one day a month, the dark of the moon, and act on it for the other twenty-eight.
What to do with the answer
Put the week you skip in the plan before anything else. A quarter planned by the moons does this by design: three starts, three reviews at the full moons, a finishing week before each new moon, and the dark of the moon for the plan, whether you feel like it that week or not. The method is in the field guide in the Store, and the best-days pages give the clear windows for each decision, two weeks ahead.
Rhythm for Business runs the quarter as a planner: your level, your pace, the season's focus, and a coaching read written from your own record. The quiz is the door; the planner is the room.
The five ways map onto the classical halves of the lunar month (waxing for beginnings, waning for endings: Dorotheus, Lilly). Nothing you choose on this page is saved or sent anywhere.
