The houses
The Moon in your houses
Every two or three days the Moon moves into the next of your twelve houses. Each page says what that house covers, what the days are for, and what to do. The house wheel shows which one it is in right now.
1st house · Self
you — body, presence, starting things
Start the thing that is yours. Put yourself at the front of the day.
2nd house · Money and possessions
money and what you own
Look at the numbers. Pay what is owed, price what you sell.
3rd house · Messages and errands
messages, errands, conversations
Send the messages and run the errands. Keep every conversation short.
4th house · Home and family
home, land, family
Stay close to home. Fix one thing in the house, call your people.
5th house · Creation and play
creation, play, delight
Make something because you want to. Play with the kids, the craft, the food.
6th house · Work and routines
work, health, routines
Do the maintenance: the inbox, the appointment, the routine you let slide.
7th house · Partners
partners — the people across from you
Meet people halfway. Talk to the partner, the client, the one across the table.
8th house · Shared money and the depths
shared money, debts, the depths
Deal with the shared money: the loan, the taxes, the bill you split. Say the hard thing kindly.
9th house · Travel and the bigger picture
travel, learning, the bigger picture
Learn something. Plan the trip. Look at the year instead of the day.
10th house · Career and reputation
career and being seen
Be seen. Post the work, ask for the meeting, say what you did.
11th house · Friends and networks
friends, networks, hopes
Reach out to your people. Share the plan, say the hope out loud.
12th house · Rest and retreat
rest, retreat, the unseen
Rest. Finish what is nearly finished, keep the day quiet and private.
Open the house wheel to see which house the Moon is in today for your rising sign.
The meanings follow the classical lists: Vettius Valens, Anthologies (2nd century), and Firmicus Maternus, Mathesis (4th century), as summarised in Chris Brennan, Hellenistic Astrology (2017). Whole sign houses are the oldest house system: the rising sign is the 1st house and each following sign is the next house.
